Hello Eugene here.
In the United States, the fourth Thursday of November is always a holiday called Thanksgiving.
The origin of Thanksgiving comes from pilgrims escaping England in search for religious freedom in the early 1600’s.
They sailed on the Mayflower for 6 weeks and landed in Plymouth. The season was winter. The area was unfamiliar, cold, and wet. Native Americans helped the pilgrims out by providing them food and seed. Next year, the pilgrims had a successful harvest and invited the Native Americans for a 3 day feast. There, they served turkey, corn, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce.. etc From this day on, we celebrate the fourth Thursday of November by giving thanks and having a feast with families.
